I spent a few hours at Spilcaféen this morning with my parents and my girlfriend, and it turned out to be a really pleasant experience. The place is spacious and cozy, with room for quite a lot of people. We had a couple of coffees and some chai lattes, all of which were very nice. We also bought access to play a board game and were pleasantly surprised to learn that once you’ve paid to play one game, you’re free to switch it out with others from their collection — a great system that makes it easy to spend several hours or even most of a day there. On top of that, you’re allowed to bring your own food, which is a really cool and welcoming touch. The staff were polite and friendly, and the toilet facilities were clean and well-maintained. I rarely visit Jylland and had never been to Kolding before, but if I ever return with some time to spare, this is definitely the first place I’d go back to.
