A Superman meeting in Aalborg – without a cape, but with sourdough In connection with the library in Aalborg there is a small café with a clear – and rather brave – Superman theme. I must admit that I have never met Superman in person. I know him best from childhood pictures: strong, straight and wearing a tight-fitting suit. Still, I entered with an open mind. And let me say it right away: there are superpowers in the bread here. A piece of sourdough bread with cheese and melted butter landed in front of me – simple, honest and completely irresistible. Exactly what I didn’t know I was missing. The coffee was so good that I had to order another one. The kind of coffee that not only keeps you awake, but makes you consider your life choices. The last cup was enjoyed with a Shrove Tuesday bun. Here I must admit that a little superhero courage may have crept into the Danish Shrove Tuesday tradition. In the future, I think the café's guests will have to enjoy the many varieties without my company – I'm more into the classics. A completely ordinary croissant, which they also had. I actually regretted not choosing that one. All in all: praise to Superman (wherever he is), and big praise to the staff who manage to create a calm and cozy atmosphere, even when guests are queuing to get their hands on the coveted sourdough buns. You don't have to wear a cape to be a hero. Sometimes, good bread and even better coffee are enough. 🦸‍♂️☕🥐

So important to have a place in Aalborg where you can have a good food experience without having to break the bank. Very SU friendly and really cool that you can take your things to the library if you are, for example, sitting and working with your fellow students. Would highly recommend their BMO, croissant and coffee.
